Let’s face it…there’s never enough time in the day. In fact, we often live life with regrets wishing we got more done or did those things we were putting off, and so on.
For some of us, no matter how many time management courses we take or self help books we read on how to stop procrastinating…nothing will make a difference. If this is you, stop reading now. You are just wasting your time.
But, if you truly want to learn how to get more done in your day, then here are a few tips to help you get started:
- always work from lists – plan ahead each day and know what you have to get done.
- Stop procrastinating – get your worst task done first thing in the morning. This will make you feel better and you’ll get more done that day.
- Don’t just move piles around. The key is to never touch something more than once. When you pick it up, either put it away or throw it away. Just moving piles from here to there is a waste of time.
- Keep organized – the more organized you are, the less likely you’ll be searching for things over and over again.
- If you don’t finish your to do list, carry the left over items on your next day’s “To Do” list.
Following these tips will help you get more done in a day. Try it for a week, 2 weeks, then a month and you’ll be surprised at how much you’ll get done in a day.
