Does your child’s deadbeat dad owe you money? Have you been endlessly trying to get the courts to get you the money you deserve? You are not alone. Approximately 1 in 5 children in the US live in poverty due to a lack of parental support in one form or another. There are thousands of cases just like yours. However, getting your back child support is not as easy as it would seem. It would seem as though as soon as he started earning a paycheck, the child support office would know and start collecting. Unfortunately, it just is not that easy.

Therefore, after you have finally given up hope, you need to get creative. Although it is not your responsibility, you need to keep tabs on the “deadbeat dad”. That way, should he decide to try to hide from his responsibility, you’ll be one step ahead. Now, the question is, how do you do this?

Here are 5 tips on how you can keep tabs on your “deadbeat dad”:

1) Use a government records program to help do searches. See below for a link. There are several good programs but this one is exceptional and there is only a small one time fee.

2) Keep in contact with all of his friends. You’ll be amazed at how much information they accidentally share by just chit chatting.

3) Keep in contact with his family for the same reason.

4) Use a child support collection service – there are several out there but be warned: they do collect a fee based on your case. The fee comes out of your owed support. This may cost you more than it’s worth.

5) Use a bounty hunter. If you are really desperate and none of the above has worked, this will work but it will cost you.

Don’t give up hope. Collecting on the money that you are owed can be a reality but you need to take matters into your own hands. Start something today that will help you gain back the support you and your child deserves.
